SalsaHR vs Humaans: Pricing, Modules and Product Fit

Compare SalsaHR and Humaans using official public information about pricing visibility, included HR modules, add-ons, payroll connections, and product fit.

SalsaHR and Humaans both provide a modern HRIS foundation for growing teams. The clearest published differences are commercial: SalsaHR publishes one price for every listed product module, while Humaans directs Growth and Enterprise buyers to sales and lists several capabilities as add-ons.

This comparison uses official public information reviewed on July 19, 2026. Confirm the current product scope, implementation services, quote, and contract directly with each vendor.

The short answer

Consider SalsaHR when your requirements include core HR, documents, time off, onboarding and offboarding, reporting, performance, goals, engagement, compensation cycles, and administrative controls—and you want those listed modules included at a public price.

Consider Humaans when its integration ecosystem, AI products, global operating focus, or Enterprise controls are central requirements and you are comfortable evaluating a sales-led quote and selected add-ons.

When SalsaHR may fit the requirement

The roadmap includes talent and compensation

SalsaHR includes performance cycles, goals, engagement surveys, and compensation cycles alongside core HR operations. A growing team can introduce those programs without adding a separately priced product module.

Humaans' official pricing page lists Performance Management and Headcount and Compensation Planning under HRIS add-ons. Buyers should include those items in the requested Humaans quote when they are part of the expected operating model.

Finance needs a usable budget before a demo

SalsaHR publishes an $8 annual-billing rate and a $10 monthly-billing rate per active employee, plus a 20-person minimum. The reviewed Humaans pricing page does not display a fixed numeric rate for Growth or Enterprise.

This does not establish which final contract will be cheaper for every company. It means SalsaHR provides a public baseline that can be evaluated before a sales conversation.

The company wants to retain payroll

Both products can support a separate payroll provider. SalsaHR focuses on payroll-affecting changes, finance dimensions, review, and controlled exports. Humaans publishes an integration directory containing multiple third-party payroll connections.

The relevant demonstration should use the exact payroll provider, fields, countries, and approval process the company operates.

When Humaans may fit the requirement

Humaans may suit organizations that prioritize its AI Companion or Athena products, its published integration ecosystem, global HRIS positioning, managed migration services, or Enterprise capabilities such as SAML, unlimited custom permission roles, a sandbox, and dedicated support.

Some of those capabilities are outside SalsaHR's current stated scope. Buyers should compare requirements and total contracted scope rather than treating a longer feature list as automatically better.

A fair demonstration script

Ask both vendors to demonstrate the same work:

  1. Create an employee with the required entity, department, manager, location, and payroll identifiers.
  2. Launch onboarding with tasks assigned across HR, the manager, IT, and the employee.
  3. Submit and approve time off while showing policy and team context.
  4. Run a performance or compensation process and show which licensed module provides it.
  5. Produce a payroll-ready change report for a defined period.
  6. Show role permissions and audit history for a sensitive employee change.
  7. Identify every plan, add-on, implementation service, and recurring charge required for the demonstrated scope.
